2015 California Lawyer of the Year Award
Los Angeles attorney Scott Glovsky was one of the winners of the California Lawyer of the Year (CLAY) Award in 2015, given to him by California Lawyer magazine. He earned the award by fighting for the families of children on the autism spectrum who have been denied insurance coverage for recognized treatments.
Treatments for Autism Spectrum Disorders
One of the recognized treatments for these kinds of disorders is Applied Behavioral Analysis, or ABA. Though it has been successful in treating children with autism or other disorders on the spectrum, many insurance companies refuse to provide insurance coverage for ABA and other treatments. Scott Glovsky helped these families get the compensation they deserved after being denied by the insurance companies.
